The Katsu experience is a must, it's the way Amsterdam's finest should be and still is. Great mix of people, very cool staff, relaxing atmosphere and fantastic menu.
The Katsu I went into gave me a second coffee on the house!!!!( Dank u wel!!! ) |

Awful place. Every coffeeshop we went in allowed us to smoke our own stuff as long as we bought drinks. Not here though. The conversation I had with the bar lady went like this...
Me: "Hi, is it cool if we buy a few drinks and have a smoke?"
Lady: "you want to buy drinks and smoke your own?"
Me: "Yes please"
Lady: "that's strange"
Me: "it's strange?"
Lady: "yes, it's strange"
Me: "so no then?"
Lady: "no"
Avoid like the plague, what a vibe killer! |

Home away from home, indeed! My afternoons at Katsu are what I miss most about living in Europe. Good times. Great people. Wonderful to walk through the door and not only be greeted but RECOGNIZED. Fabulous smoke! Black Widow and Crystal Clear all the way. I even managed to learn to climb to the bathroom (and back!) without tripping on my big American shoes!

| I am trying to figure out if I have been to Katsu. I went to Amsterdam last May with a buddy and kinda wandered to the Albert Cuyp Straat Market, and then decided to go to the Van Gogh Museam. We fortunately ran into a coffee shop on the way and got ripped on a nice pre-rolled J called Thai Sticks. The place that we went looks very similar to Katsu, but I remember it having a stair case on the left upon entering, and a small balcony overlooking the entrance with computers to rent towards the right. We spent most of our time upstairs, it was very chill, to the back of the upstairs was a outdoor porch that was not open to the public. |

| Me and my wife have been here a few times in the last couple of years. every time we come to beloved dam we pop in, last time we sat chatting to the owner whist watching the footie and sucking back on the vapourizor. has far has the smoke and company goes its second to none. we had black widdow and northen lights along with lots of other top notch weed. thanks alot katsu your the best keep up the good work and i shall retun one soon. |

| Visited on 13-Fri_Feb-2009, I've been to at least 6 other coffeeshops in Amsterdam on previous trips..I will never go anywhere else after my visit to Katsu. This place will spoil you if you want to get away from all of the tourist and smoke the best. Good job you guys & Appie. Thanks, Bill |

| I was here in October '08. Lovely establishment. The barmaid was really knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. This was the only coffeeshop I visited while in Amsterdam, and it feels positively serendipitous that I ended up here, particularly because I just viewed "Adventures in Cannabis Hemp" and it turns out Katsu is featured in it! |

| The staff here are very friendly, and extremely helpful. We bought some of the Northern Lights. It was amazing. It gave good mind buzz and definite couch lock. They are also nice enough to provide courtesy vaporizors. If you've never tried one, you should... but mind the walk to your hotel. the laid back side-street atmosphere was a nice break, too. Just a block or so from the busy Albert Cuyp Market. This place is an easy 10 out of 10. |

| This shop was great! The girl who served us was nice and not at all snobby. The weed here was GREAT as well! Its fun to get all zooted up and go for a walk through the giant flea market which is close by! |

| went to katsu maybe 18 months ago,looked up the site for nostalgia reasons.when we turned up at your door at 0950 the lovely lady bartender let us in so we wouldnt have to wait in the cold.the atmos was welcoming and chilled,the northern lights special plus awesome.the place to go if like us you are abit older (40)a bit more chilled and you know your smoke.no 1 in the dam. |

I came last winter, so i waited almost one year to sign the guestbook, but i'd like to say that KATSU is absolutely one of the best places in Amsterdam, people are kind, the atmosphere is quiet, the only thing is that is not easy to find cause is situated in the pijp.
i hope i will come next summer again. |
